SEL GAPU MEX

Sel Gapu Mex are (in their camouflage identities):
Karl Ritter (guitarist with Kurt Ostbahn & Kombo, pursuer of numerous side projects, meticulous studio worker): git, voc, electronics
Al Slavik (based at the London outpost since 1997, currently playing with Level 42 musicians): bass
Christian Eigner (globetrotting drummer with Depeche Mode): drums

Founded in the autumn of 1997, Sel Gapu Mex shortly afterwards give concerts in top secret places. In 1998 they withdraw to their headquarters for one studio session - this leads to the first CD Sturm (Windhund Records), which immediately finds its way to a community of sworn fans and up to this day is prescribed as a remedy against city boredom, self-distinguishing neuroses and erectile dysfunction.

After this, the band meet only once in a year or a year and a half for the purpose of exchanging data by acoustic-electronic means and saving the results in their super computers for later use. The super groupīs latest public reunion so far takes place in December 2000 when Sel Gapu Mex make a short tour through Austria: 11 concerts in 11 days, improvisation quotient: extremely high, repetition factor: zero. Maximum rock'n'roll.

From this tour and one studio day (at the CPO Ollersbach) the current CD Verliebt is produced, reflecting also, besides musical cognition, the hormonal status of the musicians involved. (Caution: Extreme sex! Housewives, adolescents and moralists are requested to put on protective clothing.) The dangerous brew of sound is produced and edited, as usual, by Karl Ritter.

Please fasten your seat belt and stop non-smoking! Thank you for your attention.
